Weekend Cooking

Well, another week gone, and what a week ! Friday's becoming a regular "soup night" - I cooked Spicy Pasta Soup from the March 2009 edition of Delicious Magazine - another very tasty soup: Red Onion, Red Chili, Tinned Tomatoes, Stock, Spaghetti (broken up into bite-sized pieces), Black Olives, Capers, Green Pesto (and a large handful of grated Cheddar Cheese !).

I'd scribbled out a recipe from one of the Tutor's at College new Cookbook - The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook - for Chocolate Brownies - absolutely delicious, and so simple to make.

On Sunday evening I cooked a Prawn Balti also from the March 2009 edition of Delicious Magazine - the sauce was nice in itself (it uses a jar of ready-made sauce for the base), but we thought that the sweet potatoes spoiled it (would have preferred it with Rice I think).
